Chrysler vehicles

Welcome friends and Chrysler Enthusiast to another monthly newsletter.

At last month’s general meeting (the July 2021 Club meeting), I handed my resignation letter to the Assistant Secretary for reasons of family and home life. That is not to say that I will not be involved with the club it just says that I need time to myself and Rose.

I also will not be able to attend the Chrysler EXPO this year and hope it does go ahead as the club cannot afford another year of no fundraising. The Chrysler EXPO is the Club's only form of fundraising.

The raffles that Rose run at the club meetings have fallen off also - that profit went to the XMAS party also, but that had dropped off really bad but that is the reality of fundraising.

There was talk of having the XMAS party at another venue but Tina has booked the Clubrooms for this event this year. We did have one XMAS party at the dry docks in Brisbane that was a great day out. We did our usual run then  parked up on the Dry Docks and then enjoyed the day thanks to Eric, so it will be at the Clubrooms this year.

If someone has a venue that they would like to see as our XMAS party then let the committee know so that next year’s party venue can be looked at. Do not forget your $15 fully-refundable deposit as this helps to pay for the caterers.  If you do not turn up if you hand in a cheque then you get back that same cheque back. So support the club and its activities and go on the runs as often as you can - it is great fun, just ask the members that go on them.

All of my tasks for Chrysler EXPO have been confirmed and organised at the time of reading this so do not despair.

Well, captive reader, this will be that last President's Pen for some time as I can see me getting back in the future but for now, I need to get my home life and my life balance back into synchronisation. Until next time.

So, let us get out there, support the club on the runs, and have the fun that we all planned to have when we started with the Club.
