Chrysler vehicles

Welcome friends and Chrysler Enthusiasts to another monthly newsletter. It was great to see some new people at our Club meetings again.

This is the first President's pen for the year 2021. It has been a strange year 2020 with the lock downs and then you cannot go here or leave your town and only travel 50km’s. But we survived and survived better than some other States of Australia.

Now that the worst has passed us (I hope), we can get back to our what was normal life, but as we all now know, today could well be the new normal way of life. We are still carrying a face mask in our car just in case we have to get it out to wear.

Until Covid-19 has passed and we can get back to what was normal, we have to keep ourselves safe and protect all everyone from the COVID–19 Virus. But we should always try to keep our fellow Australians safe and well also.

Now to this year.

Our Only fund raiser for the year is our Chrysler EXPO and we need to make sure it is a success. If not, we will have to increase our membership fees and/or reduce things we can do for the club.

The Chrysler EXPO for 2021 is on the 21st March, and as usual we need to get volunteers. We need about 30 volunteers this year, we currently have a few members who have volunteered but this is nowhere near enough. As such we would encourage you to step up and volunteer your support.

Our first Club Run of the year was to the Ormiston school for the Australia Day run. It was a great day out and showed us we can run a show and shine!

The turnout for our club was good - we handed out some 500 flyers for the Chrysler EXPO but if you go to a Show N Shine in a shopping center or a show grounds please get some flyers from the Club Secretary, as Doug has a few left. The more we get out the better.

If you are a new member of the Club join us on the third Wednesday night of every month at the VACC Club room on Old Cleveland Road Carindale. The map and address is in the newsletter - come say hello and you may learn something about your Chrysler Product that you have been looking for to get it back on the road.

For those of you that do not know I have sold the "land yacht" so the only Chryslers we have are the PT Cruiser and the 300c. As such, you will only see us in ether of those cars now until we get ourselves anther Classic Chrysler Product.

So, let’s get out there, support the club on the runs, and have the fun that we all planned to have when we started with the Club.
