Welcome friends and Chrysler Enthusiast to another monthly newsletter, it is great to see some new people at our Club meetings again.
Well to start this Pen off we have running a Rego Sticker comp, that is the oldest sticker on your classic Chrysler Product.
The $50 cheque for fuel went to Member 186 Mike Woods with his 1952 Plymouth the Rego sticker was the gateway motorway year of 1978. Mike tells me his 1952 Plymouth has not been unregistered, well done. Mike - the Cheque is in the mail!
Today as I sit in front of the computer trying to organise my thoughts, - Sunday the 29th Nov is this month’s run and I hope you have booked your seat at our annual Christmas dinner party.
Now I know none of you will have read this before the Christmas dinner party but I have to tell you that all of you have to fill in the COVID-19 declaration form for the State Gov Contact tracing process.
Now that I have got that out of the way the Presidents Day Run for 2020 will be at Brian & Wendy’s abode some where near NSW - well it seems that far from us here in Deception Bay!
The Presidents Day run will be on the 16th May 2021. As the club will be providing the food and soft drinks for the run, we will need to know the numbers so that we can cater for this wonderful day out. If you forget to bring a seat you will be standing up all the time!
I have it on very good authority that our Chrysler EXPO will be held on the 21 st March 2021, so we will be needing all the help we can to get it organised. Please do not just sit back and do nothing - the EXPO committee needs your help!
We need the following things organised: -
- Traders [ business that sell memorabilia, all sorts of stuff and so on]
- Stalls of all types
- Club Members to hand out fliers
The Club run for Feb is the BHSS Brakes in Smith St, Capalaba The Second Tuesday 9th Feb 6:30pm for the Guided tour of how brakes are reconditioned. For this run we best meet at the Business in Smith St that saves Club Members having to race away from work and meet up.
This is the last Presidents Pen for this year so all of you have a great Christmas holiday and a very safe time on the roads now that the borders are opening up on December 1st. Yet another 5 million drivers on our roads so please be safe and drive safely!
So, let us get out there, support the club on the runs, and have the fun that we all planned to have when we started with the Club.
