Chrysler vehicles

Welcome friends and Chrysler Enthusiast to another monthly newsletter, it is great to see some new people at our Club meetings again. It was good to see some new members joining up and some former members rejoining.

Well the news as it is today the committee with some others on a phone conference call decided to cancel this years Chrysler EXPO with the plan to be bigger and better next year so do not despair, we will do our best to get it back up and running for the year 2021 at the Rocklea show grounds.

The COVID-19 problem is a massive problem that is taking the toll of a large chunk of the classic car clubs and stopping us all doing what we love to do and that is to go see and admire the classic cars that are available to us here in Queensland.

My next bit of information is some what out of left field.
I no longer have a classic car. About two years ago I sold the CL valiant, last year I sold the Dodge Phoenix and today about two hours ago the new owner of the land yacht the Chrysler Newport, headed home so now, as my son said just "now you have an empty garage". But do not despair captive reader. I will sneak something back in there in the near future.

So, for those of you near the NSW border you may see the land yacht cruising the highways and byways of the Gold Coast.

Now back to important stuff, we need people who are interested in helping develop a plan to get our beloved Chrysler EXPO up and running next year and get it compliant with the COVID-19 requirements. Not only that but we will need club members to help out on the Saturday before and the day of Chrysler EXPO, so you have plenty of time to plan your weekend starting now to help out in the organizing and the drawing up of plans to get us COVID compliant. The more hands the less work for all.

The run to Bribie Island will be our first run in some time, if you did not let Bruce know of your desire to attend well it is / was on the 26 th July the last Sunday of July, I am anticipating a great day so knowing it may rain I reckon we had a great day on Sunday that is two days away as I type this, President Pen message. So here's hoping it is a clear day for all on Bribie Island.

Let us get out there, support the club on the runs, and have the fun that we all planned to have when we started with the Club.
