Chrysler vehicles

Welcome friends and Chrysler Enthusiasts to another monthly newsletter, it is great to see some new people at our Club meetings again.

The Club meeting last month in March, we were due to have a chap from the Lion Battery company give us a presentation on the maintenance and servicing of the humble car battery but due to unforeseen events the presenter could not make it so it has been put off until another monthly club meeting.

Here’s hoping that this will be the first of many Presidential words that will be put on the web page for all club members to read and others that would want to join the largest Chrysler Car Club in Queensland.

The Presidents Day will be later this year and we will be going to the Brian and Wendy’s place for that run and as usual the food and drinks will be on the Treasurer, so do come along as it gets closer you will see it in the newsletter and now in the Presidents Message on the web page.

The Chrysler EXPO plans are coming along we still need volunteers to help out setting up on the day before and on the day on some of the best positions on the showgrounds land. We need Club Members on the front gate [ see all the classic Chrysler family sheet metal] come through the gate and you do not have to walk around all day - they driver past you.

As I said last year, we have an auction and the item is the Silver Metal Swan bonnet emblem. So far, I have one bid of $40.00 the auction will only go for another three months as in the June edition of the Chrysler News I will be offering the bonnet emblem to the highest bidder. So far only one bid so it looks like that person will get it for $40.00 - I have had people offer a $100 for it but to be fair to all you need to email me at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. so that I have a record of your bid.

It looks very much like we will be getting a shed due to the very diligent and hard work of our club secretary Doug. Now we may need to organise a working bee to help get his project under way. So, watch this space you may just get the call to help out.

The committee had a meeting at Pacific Pines Golf Club a couple of weeks ago to sort out some computer problems. It would appear that we have got things under way again thanks to the persistence of our Secretary Doug.

This will make the new Membership Officers job hopefully a lot easier to do and we should have a more reliable data base of all club members and their SIV registered cars.

There is also talk of integrating the impromptu runs into the website but that would be hard to administer so we will be needing some input from other club members to get this up and running. If you have any ideas please put it in an email and send it either to the This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or to the This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. that way all members have a say in the implementation of his process. I will let you know.

So, let us get out there, support the club on the runs, and have the fun that we all planned to have when we started with the Club.
