Welcome friends and Chrysler Enthusiast to our first run in a long time.

The day started out like my day does normally (no not really) I awoke at 06:30 to the sound of silence no rain no wind it was a beautiful Sunday morning. At this time, I would normally get up and cook Rose our Sunday breakfast of bacon eggs, Beans and mushrooms, but that was not to be this Sunday. I shower some cereal and get the PT Cruiser ready for the Club Run to Bribie Island, surf side.

The reason for the PT Cruiser is we no longer have a classic car to take out on club runs, A story you will not doubt hear about. The McLean Tribe are ready to go so we set off to wait At the BP North Bound on the Bruce Highway, we get comfortable and wait. I get the phone call saying we are on our way from Bruce the run coordinator.

Rose and I sit on the on ramp to the Highway and wait for the first of the club cars to pass then we off and join in the cruise to Bribie Island. I counted twelve cars it was a great turn out.

I caught up with Jeff and Merle on the Bribe Island turn off and take over the front car on the run.it started to rain the sort of rain that says it is in for the day.

By the time we got to the BBQ site it had stopped and it was a fine wonderful day. As always when a bonnet goes up the head go under to have a look, shortly after arriving and setting up I gathered all around and gave the we are COVID safe words social distancing and the hand sanitizer location.

All that attended had a great day no rain just wind that the Chrysler Owners had to invent ways of keeping the BBQ alight.

A great thank you to Bruce for the BBQ and the food as always well done and thank you Bruce.

I also put a suggestion to the group of 30 Club members and family that we have a club run each month as the Club meeting that was a resounding yes from the members that were at Bribie Island. It was suggested that we have a different venue each time north, south, east and west so all club members can attend and it does not favor the members just on one side of the river.

I will bring it up at the next club meeting at the Club rooms to see how they feel about it. It was also suggested that we do it on a Sunday day time have the club meeting so that more people can attend both the club meeting and the run as people are not too comfortable driving at night and sometimes in the rain at night.

It was a great run like I said many cars and a lot of new members attended as well. It was a great day out, thank you to all that attended.

The Chrysler Owners Club of Qld was formed to assist its members keep old Chryslers on the road

Welcome friends and Chrysler Enthusiast to First President Message \ Report since the COVID-19 pandemic. The committee had a phone conference call and spoke about our next club meeting as well as the Chrysler EXPO. As we all know COVD-19 has put a stifle on the activities of Queenslander's travel and social life.

A lot of talk was had about how we would operate and keep the social distancing rules in an outdoor setting. Some discussion about the numbers at the gate volunteers working collecting names numbers of all that enter the show grounds for the transmission of Covid-19 if it was to show its ugly head again.

One of the positive things that came out of the phone conference was as we will be given a set number of attendees; we will know how much food to provide for and the guessing game will be a lot easier this year. It was also suggested that as this could be one of the first events in a long time we could be inundated with displays and spectators. But this is all speculation at the moment as we are still waiting for the powers to be giving the go ahead.

We also spoke about our next club run - it will be to a park so that we can meet and have more club members than if we had it in a building. The club room would only allow a small number of attendees but with a club run to a park we can have a BBQ and a club meeting at the same time.

For this to happen we would need numbers in advance so that we can feed everyone who turns up. If you do plan on attending the club run and it will be to a park so that we can have a meeting and a BBQ we need definite numbers please.

Now on my soap box. Did you see the cost of motion lotion they are buying it for less than ever and they put the price up how much of a rip off is that. With the USA in the NEWS a lot at the moment did you see the cost of their motion lotion $3.75c a gallon. We are paying $1.15c a litre.

Now back off my soap box - it will not be to long now before we can get back to what was normal but I do not think it will be the same as it was some six months ago.

As soon as we have a set date for the club run meeting it will be in the newsletter for all to see and once you see the date and it works for you, please let Bruce know so we can provide plenty of the food for all. In the first Club meeting on a club run.

So, support your club and join in on the activities.

Welcome friends and Chrysler Enthusiast to another monthly newsletter, it is great to see some new people at our Club meetings again. It was good to see a new member rejoin.

This is the second for the year for the Chrysler Owners Club QLD Inc the run to the LAIDLEY PIONEER VILLAGE was a great success we had a great variety of Chrysler Family of Sheet Metal turn up it was great; we had a terrific tour guide and he was just a wealth of knowledge. We had a chap wander in a spent so much time admiring the Chrysler Family of Sheet Metal that I thought he was a member well captive reader he was an admirer of the fine sheet metal, and has been for a very long time the next Club meeting he turned up and became a member of our esteemed club. It turns out that this new member has been attending CHRYSLER EXPO since he was ten years old him and his dad are great Chrysler fans.

For those that are interested I have been tasked with the honour of planning one of the runs and it is to the Historical jail on Anerley road, if you are interested keep an eye out for the date and cost as I believe it may cost about $25 but I will stamp my feet to get a better deal but if that does not work well we could be u for the $25 but let’s wait and see shall we.

We are planning a roster for the Chrysler EXPO this year as it is always the same people that do most of the work. What would be a great outcome is if you can just donate some of your day and not hours but a small amount of time and help out it would make it much fairer to all.

We have had club members say yes, I will do from this time till that time and inn the day they do not turn up so the club member that started the day is stuck there all day and that is not fair. Chrysler EXPO is he club only fund raiser and we depend on that to keep he club afloat for the year. So please help out to keep our club viable.

Well it is a short one this month but then again February is a short month. So, let us get out there, support the club on the runs, and have the fun that we all planned to have when we started with the Club.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum
