Banyo Swap is being held at the Earnshaw State School, Earnshaw Road, Banyo. Gates open 6am, admission for public is $3 per person. Sites $10 includes driver and one passenger. The event is on the main oval and vehicle weight is restricted to light commercial vehicles and trailers.

National Transport Museum Motor Show, NSW Taylor Avenue, Inverell. 9.00 AM – 2:00 PM is open to all makes and models. People’s Choice Top 20 and various other prizes. Entry $5 per person, children 12 and under free – Museum entry free of charge. Entrants gate opens 7am, spectators gate open 9am to 2pm. Presentation 1.30pm. More information (02) 6721 2270.

Fair Dinkum All Aussie Day, QLD Lakeside Park, Lakeside Road, Kurwongbah 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM Come along for a great day of drags, slalom and cruising. Aussie cars only featuring Ford, Holden, Chrysler and many more. All vehicles need to be clean and presentable. Track challenges, cruise sessions, drag racing, show n shine, slaloms and trade stands. Spectators $10 per person and $10 per car to enter the show n shine. Kids under 12 free.

Mar 12
The Bay City Chrysler Car Club hosts the annual Chryslers by the Bay Show and Shine on the lush lawns of the magnificent Geelong Grammar School in Corio every March. This event attracts a huge crowd and large display of Chryslers from all eras including some early vintage Dodges and Plymouths. There are always plenty of muscle cars from the 60’s and 70’s as well. The show and shine always has a good turnout of mint condition family sedans including Valiant’s, Regal, Sigmas and Centura’s from the 70’s. Newer generation cars are also well represented with new Jeeps, Dodges and Chryslers. There are quite a number of different divisions in the competition and trophies awarded to the best vehicles. The event also includes a trade show and swap meet and is also a great place to pick up a car with several usually being for sale. Entry $20.

Mar 12
The Redlands Rockabilly Revival is returning for its second installation at Cleveland Showgrounds. Thousands of people are expected to enjoy a sensational day with hot rods, specialty markets, gourmet foodies, dancing, pinup parades, live bands, dj’s and more. Bands performing on the day will be A Band Called Twang, The Hi-Boys, Lovejoy Surf, Little Billy, The Haymakers and DJ Leapin’ Lawrie. Vehicles from the pre-1975 era are welcome. All vehicles entered on the day go in the running for one of the Top Ten trophies. Public entry on the day will be adults $15, hot rod drivers $10, kids under 16 free. The Inverell Antique Motor Club NSW are hosting the Inverell Swap Meet at the Inverell Showgrounds. Gates open at 6am. Outdoor sites free, undercover sites are $10. Overnight camping sites with power are available for $20 per couple with hot showers. Catering is provided Saturday night and Sunday, breakfast from 6am. All goods welcome, buy, sell or swap. The Rum City Rods and Customs are holding their annual Swap Meet at East Rotary Park, A true automotive swap meet for car enthusiasts by car enthusiasts. Vendors from 5.30am, lookers from 6.30am. Swap sites 6 x 6metres $10 per site, public entry free. No heavy vehicles and no BRIC A BRAC. Hope you can come along and check out the bargains. Food and refreshments will be available. The Gold Coast Superswap and Show n Shine is being hosted by the Automobile Restorers Association and will be held at the Country Paradise Parklands just 2kms from Nerang (M1 Exit 69) on the Gold Coast. The event is open to all makes and models of cars and commercials. Show n shine judging commences at 9am, trophy presentation from 12.30pm. Trophies will be awarded for a range of categories and there are 10 trophies on offer for restored and modified vehicles. Pre booked undercover sites 3×3 metres $30 includes driver. 6×3 swap site $10 includes driver. Passengers and lookers $5. Setup from 2pm Saturday. Swap meet and show n shine entrants from 6am. The Adelaide Chrysler Festival is a 3 day event held each year on the last weekend in March. For 2017 the event features the Friday lunch cruise, Chrysler Bar meet and greet at the Tonsley Hotel, Mopar Mega-Cruise on Saturday departing from Urrbrae and the Sunday All Chrysler Day show and shine. The Bayside Vehicle Restores Club Annual Swap Meet.. Entry for swap sites are just $10 which gives you a site and entry for the driver. The entry fee for shoppers and lookers is just $2 with children under 12 free. Entry to the Ormiston Swap at the Ormiston School is from Wellington St or Dundas St East Ormiston. There are hundreds of sites selling parts for all types of vehicles so if you are looking for that special part or just can’t resist a bargain be sure to come along. Rust and Chrome, is open for all pre-1978 chrome bumper cars, custom and classic cars and selected special interest cars. Motorcycles are limited to Classic/retro styled bikes (i.e. not modern plastic racers, the show is Rust and Chrome, not plastic and paint). no race cars or bikes will be permitted to do driving events and all vehicles entering in driving events must be road registered, and have a muffled exhaust system (due to noise and insurance requirements). All vehicles entering in driving events will be required to fill in a indemnity waiver.

The Southern Cross Street Cruisers are supporting local Charities. Orange Swap Meet and Charity Car Bike & Truck Show. This is a family Orientated Swap Meet and Charity Car Show with STRICKLY NO ALCOHOL on the grounds. Food and drinks will be available at the grounds canteen. Gates open for Swappers at 5am Sunday. STRICKLY NO ALCOHOL on the grounds. Free overnight camping available strictly from 12pm Saturday. – 6×6 Meter sites $20 full insurance provided. Lookers $2. The QCA hosted Mopar Muscle Weekend held annually at the Warwick Dragway is locked in for Labour Day long weekend Sat/Sun 29/30th April. Flyer and details coming soon but all usual attractions. May 6-7
Join the party during this years Ipswich Festival of Cars at Queensland Raceway for the Ipswich Festival of Cars. Featuring the Willowbank 300 – Round 2 of the Tri-State Australian Endurance Championship and the Group N Historic Touring Cars it is set to be a weekend of thrills and spills! Featuring the Willowbank 300 endurance race, Production Sports Cars, Trans Am, Holden Geminis and HQ’s. Gates open from 7:30am, on track action from 8:30am. The Sims Rock n Roll Show N Shine is being held at the Pine Rivers Showground in Lawnton from 4pm. Show n shine for cars and bikes. Live band, all cars and bikes welcome. Old school cars, bikes and today muscle cars and bikes. Trade stalls, catering on site. Info Simon 0449 291 000.

May 13-14
The Mackay Motor show is at the Mackay Showgrounds and is hosted by the Mackay Rod & Custom Club. Entry $15 per person, pensioners $10 and kids under 15 free with a paying adult. Categories include car of show, top ten, top drag car, hot rod, bike, boat and more. Proudly sponsored by Tincone, MI Scaffold, ABC Engineering and Autobarn Mackay. Donations going to The Black Dog Institute, YIRS Mackay and Grapevine. Come along and see some of the most elite cars in Australia and local cars.

The Northern Nat’s are being held at Springmount Raceway in Arriga. Drag racing, dyno, burnouts, power skids, Saturday night party, bands, camping and bar open till late. Over $30,000 in prize money. Event details on the website.

The Laidley Charity Car Show and Swap Meet is being held at the Laidley Showgrounds in Hayes Street. Gates open at 5am. All entries to be registered by 9am with presentation at 12 noon. The Shannons Country Classic Motor Show is the premier motor show in country NSW. Local motor dealers and aftermarket retailers will be on hand to service the expected crowd of over 5,000 and Shannons Insurance representatives will be on site all weekend. The Fine Iron Rod & Custom Club of Ipswich are holding their 24th annual Hot Rod & Car & Bike Show & Swap Meet on Sunday 21st May 2017 at the Ebbw Vale Soccer Grounds. The Old Station Fly-in & Heritage Show 2017 is being held in Raglan Queensland and offers a weekend of fun for the whole family. The show features aerobatic displays, aircraft, joy flights, catering on site, heritage machinery, vintage tractor pull, truck show, stalls, live band, children’s entertainment, licensed bar and a fashion parade. Classics by the Coast for 2017 is being supported by All Classic Motor Club of Central Queensland Inc. There will be on display a wide range of classic and vintage vehicles, hot rods, commercial vehicles and motor cycles for the public’s viewing pleasure. Monies raised for local charity and community groups. The event attracts 300+ classic cars and motor bikes with thousands of people coming to enjoy the picnic atmosphere. In addition, there will be plenty of food and drink vendors along with our generous sponsors displaying their products and services. We encourage all our visitors to get in the spirit of the event, put on your style clothes, be it the era of your vehicle, vintage, pin up, rock-a-billy or punk and come along for a great day out.

The Brisbane Swap Meet is being held on 28th May at Carina State School. Gates open at 6.30am for sellers and 7am for buyers. Admission $5 adults, $10 per swap site which includes a driver. The Chrome Bar Bonanza at Lakeside Park is open to all vehicles originally built with chrome bars. It doesn’t matter if they have been removed or painted over. With over three hours of cruising throughout the day, Show n’ Shine, 1/8th mile drags and kids entertainment it’s a great day out Spectators and show n shine entrants $10. All vehicles need to be clean and presentable. If you have a chrome bar classic be sure to bring it along for a great family day out at Lakeside Park.

Maclean’s Bridge is a major sports and classic car festival in Queensland and on Sunday 28th May, 2017 it will be the 42nd year of the Maclean’s Bridge Display. This year Macleans Bridge will be held at Queensland Rifle Association Belmont Range. Entry fee $15 includes display car plus driver and 1 passenger. The Rotary Club of Alexandra Headland is holding the 2nd Surf Show and Shine of Surf Boards and Kombi’s on Sunday 28th May at the Mooloolaba State School. It is the first time anything like this has been held in Australia so be part of history. We are encouraging all exhibitors within the surfing industry to get together and show off all of their surfing memorabilia – surfboards, Kombis, woodies etc. The event is free to entrants and is being held on the Mooloolaba State School oval. Access is easy off Venning Street, parking on the oval and some nice shady trees and grass makes it an ideal venue.
